Please Help limiting bandwidth on cisco switch ports

Dear all '
I have a question please I have a cisco cat 3560 Switch , I want to assigne every port a specific bandwidth limit so that evey user connected to this port will get only a specific rate .
I tried the bandwidth command but i discovered that it designed to communicate with the higher routing protocol and it will not limite any thing lets say that there is an uplink on this switch that connected to a router which connection us to the internet, and I have somer users connecting to each port I want to say for example the user connect to port 5 should have only 512 kbps as from the over all internet connection ..how should I do that..
can any body help with that

I think you cannot do it on a switch, you need a router with Q0S fetures, and use the command rate-limit and access-list rate-limit

حبيب قلبي Catalyst 3560 هي Multi Layer أي أنها تعمل عمل Router و تستطيع تطبيق كل ميزات ال QoS فيها..

على كل الأحاول إذا أراد الأخ عمل Rate Limiting فيمكن القيام بذلك بطريقتين :

إما باستخدام Traffic Shaping و هي التحكم بال Traffic عن طريق إبطاء سرعة لل Interface

أو باستخدام Traffic Policy وهي أن تعمل Dropping لل Packets التي تتجاوز الحد المسموح لها ( أو تقليل DSCP لها)

على كل الأحوال لن أدخل في تفاصيل ال QoS و أنصح باستخدام ال Traffic Shaping لأننا عادة نستخدم ال Policy في ال ISP Side فقط

استخدم Cisco NetFlow أو Cisco Works فهو يقوم بانتاج غرافيك تشرح لك ما تحتاجه حول استهلاك ال BW أو ال Errors أو حتى مراقبة ال Performance
