First, thanks to eVGA, and specifically Jacob, for handling the shipping of these cards. I am sure many of you have read that they telephoned people when there was an issue in processing. This, in my opinion, is an example of outstanding customer service in today's day and age. Most other companies would have said whatever and moved to the next order. But not these guys. Thumbs up to them.
My 480 SC arrived this morning and I immediately got to work putting it in. It replaced a 285 SC which does very well in Bad Company 2 but there are the occasional frame dips and stutters that are just annoying. So, I figured I would upgrade as this game will probably be my cup of tea for quite some time. I also wanted to give Metro2033 a try but wanted my 480 to come first.
The system specs are below, but I'll repeat them. i7 920 @ 4.3 (21x205), 6 gigs of OCZ ram, 2x30GB Vertex in RAID 0, 300GB Velociraptor, 850 Corsair PSU and of course, the new 480SC. I am using a Sony FW900 at 1920x1200 with a 85hz refresh rate in games. (I still play quake 3 and can not for the life of me switch to an LCD as my eyes are accustomed to a CRT and the smoothness).
Bad Company 2 was set at 1920x1200. All advanced settings on HIGH. AA was at 2xMSAA, AF was at 16x, vsync and hbao were off. (These settings were used for both cards)
My testing method was as follows. I would attempt to run the same pass so-to-speak in servers online. Most tests that I have seen used single player, but I wanted to give a multiplayer review as that is what most of us play. I did one pass on my 285, and then one pass on my 480. Fraps was used to run the benchmark after a fresh reboot each time.
I selected an empty Atacama Desert 32 person server that registered a 16 ping each time. I also selected a full White Pass 32 person server that registered a 47 ping each time. I dictated my run through the first time such that I could be sure I kept as close as possible when I played it again.
In Atacama, I started off as US. I hopped in a tank and drove along capping each point. I stopped and shot the main and secondary guns at each cap point. I followed the same paths in the ground until I got to the last cap point. I also used the main gun in the tank to blow up the walls of any buildings that were close by at the cap points. At the last cap point, I hopped out of the tank and ran along for a bit until I reached cap point B. I used the knife to weave in and out of fences and shot the M60 into the sand as well as into the water.
Below are my results for Atacama:
GTX 285 SC at 700/1605/1280
Min, Max, Avg
35, 151, 75.779
Gtx 480 SC at clocks from factory
Min, Max, Avg
38, 191, 115.308
In White Pass, I started off at the Russian spawn point. I ran along the right side towards cap point C. I ran into the 2 story house at C and shot out the window. I then ran through the houses along the right side from cap point C to cap point A. I ran up the stairs on the side of cap point A through the second level and parachuted below. I then killed someone and was killed. I respawned at point B, ran to the UAV point and naded myself. I then respawned at the Russian spawn point and ran along the left side near the power poles. I fired the shotgun into the snow underneath the power pole and naded myself. (This took a few times to repeat once the 480 was installed. Again, I attempted to get as close as possible to the exact same pass as was run on my 285.)
Below are my results for White Pass:
GTX 285 SC at 700/1605/1280
Min, Max, Avg
38, 124, 64.916
Gtx 480 SC at clocks from factory
Min, Max, Avg
75, 187, 104.789
I think the results pretty much speak for themselves. It amazes me at how fluid the game feels now.
I'll do some overclocking tests next as well as Vantage.
Hope this helps anyone who may be on the fence. https://www.evga.com/forums/upfiles/smiley/thumbup1.gif

اهم شىء هو الضمان لان هذه النوعية عرضة للتلف او لأى عطل بسبب طبيعة الكرت فما الفائدة من الشراء من الخارج و الكرت يتحرف و الفلوس تضيع فى الارض
