hi there....actually, i had the same problem when i first got my pc...INTEL Core i7 920....i am using GIGABYTE EX58 UD3R mother board...the problem of HEATING is veeeeeeeeeeeery simple....the default voltage core (Vcore) was 1.275 volts....which is veeery high, due to the processor needs...core i7 920 just need 1.1 volts in the Vcore to operate correctly... you will notice a high temperature drop..you know what else...i had overclocked it to 3.2 GHz , and the temperature now is reaching 79' at maximum load..normally , it is around 45~50' ...but notice that i am only using the STOCK cpu cooler..i think its good temperature at least for now...tell me about the results...and if u need help later how to overclock your cpu tp 3.2 GHz
