o launch the newest Clarkdale processors, featuring a 32nm die size by December 10th, 2009.
Long awaited in the computer community, Clarkdale has already shown itself periodically in the news. With one famed Core i5 650 reaching an astonishing 4.7gHz on Air Cooling alone.
The die shrink will be a welcome sight for everyone in the Overclocking community , as the thermal output of each sucessive generation declines. Featured in either Dual Core or Quad core variants with effective clocks on the i5 line starting at 3.2ghz and topping off at 3.46ghz. Cache will remain at a nominal 4MB throughout the entire lineup, as will FSB speeds.
Chipset revisions will also be launched, Q57 , H57, and H55. Although the difference in features should be small considering most functionality is now on the actual chip vs the chipset.
We can only hope that pricing remains competitive and smart for the features offered in this latest Lineup.
