my answer would be route refresh cause,
the bgp table associated with the DRAM meaning when the router built the BGP table the bgp procees takes some amount of memory, check the following table "holding"":
This command shows the amount of memory the BGP process occupies in RAM:
R1# show processes memory | begin BGP
PID TTY Allocated Freed Holding Getbufs Retbufs Process

so, the way to prevent the mem utilization would be refresh route table...
