first you have to ansuer the following questions

1- How many users should the call processor support currently as well as for future expansion?
2- Which platform should be supported (WINDOWS or LINUX)?
3- Should the system support voice mails? If yes, how many mailboxes needed currently as well as for future expansion?
4- Is it required redundancy in Call Processor?
5- If there are main and remote Sites, should SRST (Survivable Remote Site Telephony as backup license) supported in remote sites?

1- Does the customer have any Gateway installed (Internet Router)? If yes, what’s its type and model?
2- What is the type and the number of PSTN trunks in each site (E1s, Telephone lines, ISDN,..)?
3- Is there any analog machines should be connected (Fax Machines, Analog Phones,..)?
4- Should Media Gateway support security?
5- Should the Media Gateway support any WAN interfaces for WAN connectivity? If yes, please specify.
