CompTIA Linux+ is a certification sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIAв). CompTIA is a non-profit information technology (IT) trade association. Their vendor-neutral certifications are designed by subject matter experts to assure that they cover the skills and knowledge in demand in the IT industry.
Linux+ is a vendor-neutral certification that measures the knowledge and skills of IT professionals with six months experience working with the Linux operating system.

Audience
The target audience for this certification is any individual with a basic knowledge of computer hardware who is interested in demonstrating fundamental Linux knowledge and skills. Linux+ serves as a starting point for individuals who are working towards higher-level Linux certifications.
