SSD caching هي احدى مميزات رقاقة Z68 والتي من المؤمل ايضا ان تجمع بين استغلال المعالج الرسومي المدمج للساندي بريدج مع دعم اكبر لكسر السرعة



هذه الميزة الجديدة تسمح لك بالتمتع بسرعة SSD من خلال الكاش الذي يحصل بين الهاردات العادية مع System Memory مدعومة بتقنية Intel Smart Response Technology او بمعنى اصح التمتع بميزة الSSD للهاردات العادية HDD باستخدام احجام معينة من SSD.. يعني Combination of SSD speed&HDD storage :cdcd:

لكي تكون قادر على تشغيل ميزة SSD caching يجب ان تكون :

Z68 chipset
Intel Core processor
BIOS with the RST Smart Storage caching enabled
BIOS with SATA mode set to RAID enabled
BIOS that is PCI 3.0 and PMM (POST Memory Management) compliant to allow the OROM to handle dirty shutdowns of Accelerated disks/volumes
PMM must be able to allocate a minimum of 130MB of temporary, nonaligned, extended memory to the Legacy OROM
Intel RST 10.5 version release or later
“Cache SSD” must have 18.6GB minimum capacity. The max. cache size is 64GB so any capacity over 64GB will be used for user data
Only one ”Cache SSD” is allowed per computer system.

ولكن هذه التكنلوجيا تعاني من قصور يتلخص بما يلي :

A total of only one pass-through disk (RAID Ready system) or RAID volume can be 'Accelerated’ per computer system

لا أريد التسرع والحكم على SSD Caching بالفشل قبل اختباره ولكنه كذلك من وجهة نظري وبدون اختبارات.

انتل تستعد لاطلاق سلسله SSD تحمل الرقم 311 معده خصيصا لتقنية Smart Response technology :

لا أعلم ماذا تريد انتل من وراء ذلك ولكن لا أرى فائدة منها فعلاً الا اذا انخفضت أسعار الSSD بشكل مناسب. وكذلك الأقراص الهجينة (hybrid) والتي تعمل بنفس المبدأ ربما تظهر بشكل قوي هذا العام.
