ASUS ROG ROG series motherboards with standard ATX form factor in addition to the product, its also has the GENE Micro ATX Series models, so small chassis can be installed high performance platform. Recently, foreign media Lab501 exposed GENE series of new ROG products, is using Intel Z68 chip MAXIMUS IV GENE-Z motherboard.

MAXIMUS IV GENE-Z motherboard equipped with Intel Z68 motherboard chip, using the ROG Extreme Engine Digi + power supply design, equipped with two PCI-E x16 slots for SLI or CrossFire multi-graphics card set up the system, and also supports graphics LucidLogix Virtu .

In the storage section, MAXIMUS IV GENE-Z motherboard provides four DDR3 DIMM memory slots and six SATA interfaces, of which 2 to SATA 6Gbps, 4 个 to SATA 3Gbps. Rear I / O part, including four USB 3.0 (2 of them for the rear port, 2 expansion interface for the front), 2 eSATA, 1 x Optical and 1 HD Audio interface. The display output part is a bit thin, only equipped with HDMI interface.
