FXS phone setup

- after configuration the serial ports in the bothe routers and test the connection
succcessfully

router(config)#dial-peer voice 1 pots
router(config-dial-peer)#destination-pattern 3301 → the end telephone number
router(config-dial-peer)#port 1/0/0 → to associate the logical dial interface—voice port 1/0/0——with the POTS dial peer

router(config)#dial-peer voice 2 pots
router(config-dial-peer)#destination-pattern 3302 → the end telephone number
router(config-dial-peer)#port 2/0/0 →
the phone attached to this phosicle port
next step to configuer the destiniation router

router(config)#dial-peer voice 2 voip → voice over ip
router(config-dial-peer)# destination-pattern 4401→ the end telephone in the other side
router(config-dial-peer)#session target ipv4:1.1.1.2 → the ip of the next router

other example for the destination-pattren extentaion

router(config)#dial-peer voice 2 voip → voice over ip
router(config-dial-peer)# destination-pattern 4. . → the end telephone in the other side and muilty numer 411 or 422 any number begin with 4 will frowerd to 1.1.1.2 the next router
router(config-dial-peer)#session target ipv4:1.1.1.2 → the ip of the next router


#show dial-peer voice summary → that’s will show the ports and the phone number attached to this ports

#signal loop-start → to connect phone to phone if it was groud-start that to connect pbx to pbx


#cptone GB → type of the tone

#ring cadence pattern01 → sound of the tone ring


FXS port configuration

#voice-port 1/0/0 → to access the port

#signal loop-start → to connect the port to a PSTN line

#ring number 3 → sets fxo port to answer after three rings

#dial-type dtmf → specifies dial-type to be DTMF


Timers And Timing Configuration



#voice-port 1/0/0 → to access the port

#timeouts initial 15 → time out to dial a number after 15 sec will close the line

#timeouts 15 interdigit → sets timeout interdigit to 15 seconds

#timeouts ringing 60 → sets timeout ringing to 60 seconds

#timing hookflash-in 500 → sets timing hookflash in 500 mms duration
