السلام عليكم اخي الغالي تم ارسال رسالة لشركة انتل وهي من وضحت الشرح تفضل واقرأ على مهلك
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Intel(R) Technical Support.
I understand that you want to comprehend the difference between Intel(R) Dual Core(TM) technology and Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processors.
Dual Core(TM) is a technology that, nowadays, several processors have. It is all about having two execution cores that would optimize multi-threaded applications and multitasking. There is a wide variety on Dual Core(TM) processors like the Intel(R) Pentium(R) Processor Extreme Edition, Intel(R) Pentium(R) D processors, Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo processors, Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor, Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Extreme processors, Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad processor and the Intel(R) Xeon(R) processors.
It means that if the speed of the processor is 2.4GHz, each core would be running at that speed but it does not mean that the processor is running at 4.8GHz because both cores share the same L2 cache and front side bus. When a set of instructions is coming through the processor the MCH (Memory Controller Hub) of the motherboard would assign the instruction to a particular core, making the system run two different tasks at the same time.
