Hi guys, I get asked all the time about Cisco certifications and what to study or how to study for CCxx.
Here it goes:
If you want to know "about" the technology and need a primer or good intro in layman's terms use this for most common certifications that Cisco has to offer:
1. CBT Nuggets or Knowledgenet.
If you want to dig a lot deeper into the technology and want to get to really under the CLI use this for the CCNA/CCNP:
1. TrainSignal
(I'm using them at the moment and I will tell you the guy really knows how to convey technical content effectively and efficiently).
If you have done those things and are ready to pursue the CCIE then maybe these will help:
1. IE's very latest technology labs
2. Narbik Kocharians' Advanced CCIE Wworkbooks
3. NMC's Video on Demand or LearnIT Offerings
4. IE's Class on Demand Videos
There are others that may be very good but these are the ones I'm going to recommend.
I think the Cisco Press Video Mentor may be great too. I loved the ASA Firewall Offering. Sweet and Concise.
I may have to swoop back over for another update after I finish my review of Trainsignal's materials.
